Torrens to Darlington (T2D) – North South Corridor

Client(s)

Location

Adelaide, SA

Project Scope

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) project forms the final link in Adelaide’s 78-kilometre North South Corridor, delivering 10.5 kilometres of motorway, including 6 kilometres of twin three-lane tunnels. The project will remove 21 sets of traffic lights, significantly reducing travel times while improving safety and freight efficiency. It also integrates complex interchange works, surface connections, and urban renewal opportunities.

How Are VFT Helping?

VFT Engineering Surveyors is contributing to the T2D project as a utility survey specialist, supporting the project’s utility teams and providing tested processes for utility identification and mapping. VFT also supports advanced digital engineering by conducting Mobile Laser Scanning and mapping the route of the TBMs from the port to the site, integrating 3D models, underground utility data, and real time survey. VFT ensures the accuracy and coordination required for complex utilities supporting tunnel and surface works.
